The Graphic Design Specialist’s role is to oversee, implement, and maintain communication of Concur’s business objective and position to the market through graphic design via effective branding, corporate Web site, marketing and sales tools and collateral, multi-media, tradeshow presence, etc. Reports to the Graphic Design Manager. Position ideally located in Concur’s UK office in Slough.
• Assist with the design, production and maintenance of the corporate Web site on a daily basis.
• Maintain all sales and marketing collateral, including concept, art direction, design, coordination of content, production, print management, and conversion to PDF format. Develop and implement cost-analysis reviews to ensure cost-effective collateral programs.
• Provide design support for sales tools, including PowerPoint,
• Provide design support for direct marketing efforts, including direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, including HTML and landing pages
• Provide creative guidance and assistance to company to maintain quality, consistency, and integrity of materials, ensuring overall communication effectiveness. Proactively review the materials of others to ensure adherence to the brand standards guide
• Provide event/trade show support including design, Web sites, creative assistance and development, support mailings, etc. Events include annual user conferences, regional user group meetings, trade shows, corporate advisory boards, partner events, etc.
• Reviews all materials to ensure accuracy within country culture.
• Operates under moderate supervision with reviews of work.
• Interacts primarily with marketing.
• Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.
Education, Experience & Training required:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or equivalent.
• Certificate courses in designing/building Web pages preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• 5+ years experience as a graphic designer and related marketing functions.
• At least 2 years experience with in the high technology industry.
• Ideal candidate will be fluent in French and/or German.
• Cross-platform Mac/PC expertise
• Knowledge of the Internet, building websites, and tools to utilize its capability.
• Experience using the latest graphic design software, including Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, and InDesign, and a must. Ideal candidate has Flash and Captivate experience
• Experience building Web pages, HTML emails and tools using Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, scripts, ASP pages, etc. CMS experience is a plus.
